In 1994, Milestones was hired to provide editorial support to a team of historians who were transforming their award-winning book, Who Built America? From the Centennial Celebration of 1876 to the Great War of 1914 into CD-ROM format. The interactive multimedia version of the original volume uses film clips, audio, and a wealth of graphic materials to look at American history from the perspective of labor, women and other groups often overlooked in traditional interpretations. In 1995, the CD-ROM won the American Historical Association's biennial James Harvey Robinson Prize as "the most outstanding contribution to the teaching and learning of history in any field for public or educational purposes."
