BOOK:  THE SPIRIT TO SERVE: Marriott’s Way

In 1997, Kathi Ann Brown, president of Milestones, co-authored The Spirit to Serve: Marriott’s Way with J. Willard “Bill” Marriott, Jr., Chairman and CEO of multi-billion Marriott International, Inc., the world’s largest hotel management company. The Spirit to Serve offers an informal, first-person look at the hands-on business philosophy of one of America’s best-known corporate figures. Research included interviews with Marriott executives and the Marriott family. In 2012, Brown and Marriott collaborated on a sequel: Without Reservations: How A Family Root Beer Stand Grew Into A Global Hotel Company.
